FAMILY LAW
We provide a legal service in all areas of family law including advice and Court representation in issues of separation, divorce, nullity, broken engagements, adoption, fostering, child-care applications, maintenance rights, access to and guardianship of children, domestic violence, family property and pensions.
Family law has been a key component of our legal services since our firm’s foundation. Eamonn Carroll is the partner dealing with family law.
From our long experience of providing a family law service, we understand the personal, and sometimes traumatic, nature of the issues involved. Our consistent approach is to seek to find resolution and to build agreement based on the clear and informed understanding of legal rights. In cases where we represent a parent of child/children, the welfare of the child/children involved in the case is of paramount concern.
Collaborative Family Law
Since 2005, Eamonn Carroll has been instrumental in the development of collaborative law as a model of dispute resolution in family law. This model follows our established focus on reaching resolution. In collaborative law this is achieved through a formal structure for direct discussions with the objective of reaching agreement without recourse to Court application. For more information on this area of dispute resolution, please look to www.acp.ie and www.resolvecork.com and listen to radio interview of Eamonn Carroll with Pat Kenny on RTE Radio - Listen to Podcast
Family Mediation
Additionally, as a certified Mediator with the Mediators Institute of Ireland, Eamonn Carroll can be engaged by all parties in a family dispute as an independent, neutral mediator to guide to an agreed set of outcomes. For more details see Eamonn’s dedicated website www.mediationcork.ie
Family law can be complex and confusing – we recommend that you arrange an appointment to meet with us for the complete and objective advice on which you can base your decisions.
